The DTH-Lab works closely with young people from a range of backgrounds and disciplines through partnerships with youth organizations including the International Federation of Medical Student Association global and regional offices, WHO Youth Council and acting co-chair of working group on UHC (2023-2024), AI Future Lab (composed of the World Economic Forum global shaper network), Yet4H, the WHO Global Health Workforce Network Youth Hub, Young Federation Public Health Association, International Pharmaceutical Student Federation global and regional offices, Youth Health Organisation, WHO EU Youth4Health network, and others through existing regional/country level networks of the Regional Youth Champions. The DTH-Lab also aims to further develop partnerships with a focus on G20 countries as it is a good entry point with political relevance and high populations of young people.
The DTH-Lab’s Regional Youth Champions (RYC) are key partners in the DTH-Lab’s work. With well-established connections to youth networks at the regional and local level across a range of disciplines, the champions elevate the scope and scale of the youth engagement work of the Lab. The overarching goal of the cohort is to support young people at the local and regional level to become informed and enfranchised digital health citizens through concerted efforts that capture and reflect the diverse views and experiences of young people. The RYC support the Lab through network and partnership building, convening youth at the regional level, futures thinking/foresight initiatives and solution innovations.
The #MyHealthFutures Youth Network brings together youth under the age of thirty invested in the health and well-being of young people and the future of health governance. By providing space for young people to network, share their experiences, and improve their capacity, the network aims to build a movement inspired by the needs of children and young people that generate action in the field of global health governance.
The DTH-Lab fellowship programme offers students and early career professionals from low and middle-income countries opportunities to support a specific area of the Lab’s research or analysis. The fellowship programme aims to build the capacity of future health leaders to shape policy and governance issues related to the digital transformations of health.
